Good News | Jin Lei Honored as Zhejiang Provincial Young Sci-Tech Entrepreneur

On May 28, the list of Zhejiang Provincial Sci-Tech Entrepreneurs 2026 was officially announced. Mr. Jin Lei, Chairman and General Manager of Hwaway Technology Corporation, has been awarded the title of Zhejiang Provincial Young Sci-Tech Entrepreneur in recognition of his outstanding innovation capabilities and remarkable business achievements.

On May 28, the list of Zhejiang Provincial Sci-Tech Entrepreneurs 2026 was officially announced. Mr. Jin Lei, Chairman and General Manager of Hwaway Technology Corporation, has been awarded the title of Zhejiang Provincial Young Sci-Tech Entrepreneur in recognition of his outstanding innovation capabilities and remarkable business achievements.

Jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Association for Science and Technology and multiple provincial departments, the selection aims to identify outstanding young entrepreneurs with strong scientific literacy and innovation prowess who can translate cutting-edge technologies into industrial value. Born in 1988, Jin Lei (with a master’s degree and Senior Economist title) has led Hwaway Technology to achieve leapfrog growth by prioritizing technology and innovation.

Under his leadership, the company has overcome key bottlenecks in 2,100MPa+ spring steel wire technology, independently developing 2,200MPa ultra-high-strength spring steel wire that meets international standards and realizes domestic substitution. He also spearheaded the construction of China’s first automated suspension spring production line, supporting the company’s recognition as a National Green Factory. To date, Hwaway holds 214 authorized patents (including 26 invention patents) and has led or participated in formulating 8 industry standards.

Financially, Hwaway listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Main Board in 2023. In 2025, it recorded revenue of 1.992 billion yuan and net profit of 275 million yuan, up 7.08% and 21.49% year-on-year respectively. The company operates 11 production bases across Zhejiang, Henan, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Germany, Mexico and Morocco, expanding its global footprint.

This honor recognizes both Jin Lei’s personal leadership in innovation and Hwaway’s long-term commitment to high-end elastic components and innovation-driven growth. Going forward, Hwaway will continue to focus on technological innovation, advance new productive forces, and contribute further to high-quality industry development.
