Customer Quality Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. New Project Quality: Lead PPAP submissions (dimensional reports, MSA, initial CPK, etc.), implement customer-specific requirements (e.g., GP12, benchmark samples), and address development quality issues.
2. Customer Complaint Handling: Receive complaints, organize root cause analysis and corrective actions, submit 8D reports, report on-site when necessary; investigate external risk parts and complete failure point analysis.
3. Claim Handling: Collect data and defective parts, analyze validity, file claims timely, and maintain proper records.
4. Customer Audits: Coordinate audit preparations, accompany onsite audits, and ensure closure of identified issues.
5. Quality Reporting: Record data for claims, projects, and customer performance as required; analyze and summarize corrective actions, maintain logs, prepare monthly reports, and organize quality meetings.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Manufacturing or related field; candidates with team management experience may be considered with a diploma.
2. At least 3 years of quality work experience, or 1+ year in the automotive parts industry; familiar with at least one process such as heat treatment, machining, coating, or assembly.
3. Knowledge of IATF 16949 and company quality system documentation.
4. Proficient with the five core quality tools, 8D reports, WHY-WHY analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
5. Familiar with VDA 6.3, CQI-9/12, and basic Six Sigma knowledge.
6. Strong logical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills; capable of independently handling complex quality issues.
7. Excellent communication, teamwork, stress resistance, and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to produce logically structured, concise, and well-formatted documents.
