Product Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Product Design & Development: Develop structures, drawings, and BOMs for springs, stabilizer bars, and other products based on customer technical requirements, ensuring designs meet performance and manufacturability standards.
2. Design Review & Validation: Organize design reviews, develop test plans (DV/PV), and follow up on prototype production and testing to ensure designs satisfy customer requirements.
3. Design Optimization & Improvement: Continuously optimize products based on test data, production feedback, and customer requirements to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability.
4. Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain DFMEA, product special characteristics, design review records, test protocols, and other technical documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and traceability.
5. Design Change Management: Evaluate and implement design changes based on customer requests or internal improvement needs, updating relevant technical documents while ensuring standardized processes and synchronized information.
6. Technical Support & Collaboration: Assist process, production, and quality departments in resolving technical issues during product development and mass production; participate in cross-departmental collaboration to ensure smooth project execution.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related fields.
2. Minimum 3 years of product design and development experience in the automotive parts industry.
3. Familiarity with the structure, manufacturing process, and performance requirements of springs and stabilizer bars preferred.
4. Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality system and development processes such as APQP and FMEA.
5. Solid understanding of mechanical principles, mechanics of materials, metal properties, and heat treatment fundamentals.
6. Knowledge of spring and stabilizer bar manufacturing processes and testing standards.
7. Proficiency in 2D/3D design software (e.g., CATIA, UG/NX, SolidWorks).
8. CAE analysis skills or relevant experience preferred.
9. Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and project management abilities.
