Logistics Planning Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Plan and continuously improve factory logistics operations.
2. Design and optimize internal warehouse logistics; establish and improve material standardization; implement FIFO; prepare and optimize warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs).
3. Lead cost reduction initiatives.
4. Analyze, map, and improve material and information flows.
5. Control excess freight costs (both procurement and shipment).
6.Collaborate cross-departmentally, and work with customers and suppliers to complete tasks assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, or related management fields; candidates with relevant experience may be considered with an associate degree.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive parts factory logistics planning; experience with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers is preferred.
3. Proven experience leading a factory logistics layout improvement project.
4. Familiarity with manufacturing (automotive preferred) factory logistics planning models and logistics cost accounting.
5. Understanding of automotive parts production processes and JIT principles.
6. Knowledge of logistics, material flow, and information flow improvement concepts.
7. Ability to independently lead logistics planning and improvement projects.
8. Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design.
9. Capability to independently perform logistics cost analysis.
